A middle aged man was found lifeless in Kiandutu slums in Thika sub-County today morning sustaining a knife injury on his chest.
The incident attracted a number of onlookers who claimed that they have never seen the man within the area and suspected that he might have been murdered elsewhere, and then dumped in the area.
Moses Wambua 33, as acknowledged through his identification card is said to have allegedly come from Machakos County, Matuu district.
According to the police, it was reported to them by the residents of the sprawling Kiandutu slum that the body of the deceased was found dead at one of the streets in Kiandutu.
The pool of blood was enough to prove that the deceased was stabbed severally and died with intense pain as reported by the concerned residents.
“We just woke up in the morning to undertake our normal duties when we found the man lying on the street, at first we thought he was drank but on closer ground, he was dead,” agitated residents expressed.
This comes after various incidents of crimes are reported within the area where an old man was found dead after being attacked with blunt weapons and a teenager being killed mysteriously.
Shadrack Maithya, Thika west OCPD confirmed the incident and claimed investigations are being conducted to apprehend those involved. Maithya said that a witness has offered to assist the police in probing investigation which have already commenced and justice will be done.
