A middle-aged man has been found dead in Ndenderu, Kiambu County.
The body of the deceased was discovered by residents in the area today morning.
Confirming the incident, Kiambu OCPD Stephen Ng’etich said that the man who was identified as George Njuguna was found lying dead in a bush but the cause of death is yet to be established.
He said that the body of the deceased had some injuries around the neck, hands and also on the back.
Ng’etich said that investigations are underway and the body will be taken for a post mortem to identify the real cause of the death.
Robert Kariri, an eye witness said that they found the body at around 6am.
He said he had just reported to his bodaboda business when he noticed the man’s body lying beside a bush in the area. “At first we thought he was just a drunkard as it is common to find drunkards lying around in this area. However, we noticed that the body had injuries and that is when we suspected that he was dead,” said Kariri. Kariri urged the police to beef up security in the area stating that there have been cases of robbery with violence in the area.
