A man was murdered on Sunday and placed in a sitting position in Moruese village in Loima sub-county in Turkana County.

Turkana Central OCPD Joel Kirui told KNA that the body was positioned against a tree and a rope tied around his neck to fake suicide.

 “About 30 metres from the scene, assorted clothes, shoes and a photo copy of Identity card no.4762046 of Echoto Engemo from Katilu, all believed to belong to the deceased were found,” said Kirui.

Kirui added that police have launched investigations to know the murder suspects. 

The body was taken to Lodwar county referral hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
