A man has gone into hiding after he allegedly killed his wife after they quarelled.
This happened in Nyamerao village, Bogumu ward in Kisii County.
A neighbor Maureen Asanyo said that the suspect identified as Fred Marube hacked his wife to death accusing her of having a love affair out of wedlock.
"The man has been raising concern that his wife was having an affair with a certain man. We suspect that this is what led to the death of the lady," said Ms Asanyo.
Area assistant chief Joseph Pendo said that he had settled differences between the man and his wife severally.
He saidthat he even advised them to at take time off the relationship but they never acted accordingly.
"Men should stop taking the law into their own hands especially whenever they differ with their wives. They should instead open up to religious leaders and elders for advice," he said.
He said that police officers had also launched a manhunt with a bid to arrest the suspect who is believed to be in Manga.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
