Police officers at work. [Photo/Dennis Chacha]Police in Igonga division has launched a manhunt for a man who stabbed another after a disagreement on Sunday evening.
Police said the suspect named as Onchari and the victim were at Victoria Lounge bar drinking when they started quarreling on who should pay the bill.
“The suspect fled immediately he stabbed the victim in the chest using a nail he was hiding in the pocket and the bill they were quarreling over has not been paid. The victim is currently receiving treatment at Nyamagundo Level 4 hospital,” said a police officer Josephat Lang’at.
Lang’at said the incident was reported to the police by Victoria Lounge bar manager.
He urged members of the public to help officers arrest the suspect.
“The suspect will be arraigned in court to be charged over assault once arrested,” he added.
