Police are hunting down a man in Borangi village Kisii county who has gone into hiding after he borrowed Sh50,000 from his mother in law.
It is alleged that the man borrowed the money from the mother in law after he claimed to be broke.
Villagers said the man was given the money but later separated with his wife who he sent back to her home.
“The man and his wife have lived together for over 3 years but they separated immediately the man received the money. Now the mother in law has been demanding the money which the man has refused to refund. He has gone into hiding to escape police arrest,” said Jared Okemwa, a resident.
Okemwa noted that the man is not picking phone calls or responding to messages.
The man’s parents have also refused to help the mother in law to get back her money on claims that the families are no longer related.
