The body of a 39-year-old man from Mafia Maiu area in Masinga sub-county Machakos county was found hanging from a tree in his shamba on Tuesday morning.
The man is said to have arrived home drunk at 9:30 on Monday night where he picked up a fight with his wife and then left out of frustration.
Masinga OCPD Mashua Juma who confirmed the incident by phone said that the relatives of the man said that the man has a habit of coming home drunk and starting a fight with his wife before leaving.
But on that Monday night things took another turn when the man didn't return until morning when his body was found hanging from a tree in his farm.
"His family thought that maybe he had gone back to drink when he didn't come back little did they know that the man had gone to hang himself," said OCPD Juma.
The body of the deceased was taken by police to Matuu median hospital mortuary.
