A village in Elburgon town was thrust into a sombre mood Monday morning after a man killed himself in unclear circumstances.
The middle-aged man took his life by hanging himself using a rope.
His body was found dangling from the roof of a house in Mastima village in the town.
Former Molo MP Jacob Macharia, who has been leading an anti-suicide camapign, called on residents to seek better ways of solving their problems.
"A middle-aged professional man has this morning committed suicide by hanging at the Mastima area of Elburgon town. Due to compassion to family and relatives we will not release the name at this point in time. Say no to suicides in our motherland," Macharia said.
Several young people have committed suicide in the town since the August 8 election.
