A prison warder has been arrested in Kisumu for masquerading as the Inspector General of police on Facebook.
Bevil Ogeda Ouko, a prison warder attached to Kibos Main prison was found in possession of a mobile phone registered as Joseph K Boinnet and a Facebook account with the name Joseph Boinnet.
Ogeda is expected to appear in court to answer for the charges against him next week.
Three years ago, another case of impersonation led to the arrest of Jacob Siro, a college student for running a Facebook account with the name David Kimaiyo, the former IG.
The 20 years old student of Kenya Technical Teachers college in Nairobi was found guilty and asked for forgiveness.
The most famous case of impersonation involved the police impostor Waiganjo who is currently serving a five years jail term after impersonating an assistant police commissioner.
