A 28 year old man who was caught attempting to break his neighbour's house, with an axe last year, was on Thursday arraigned before a Thika court.
The accused, Samuel kitheka, was charged for attempting to break his neighbours house on April 18, 2014 at Ruiru Mills estate.
Appearing before a Thika court resident magistrate, Easther mburu, the accused was said to have attempted to gain forceful entry into simon Ngure Wangeci's house.
Earlier area residents had raised complaints of rampant theft. The prosecution told the court that the accused was aware that his neighbour was on a night shift and his house was therefore un attended.
The accused however denied the charges and was consequently released on Sh500,000 bond pending the hearing of his case. He is scheduled to appear before the same court for hearing on May 18 this year.
