A man who slashed her daughter’s limbs using a panga was arraigned in court for unlawfully attempting murder where he pleaded guilty.
Dickson Onani Ogito was arrested by the police after committing the illegal act at Nyasia village, Kisii Central district in Kisii County.
Onani, who appeared before Kisii Law court senior magistrate, J.M Njoroge, attempted to kill her daughter, by cutting both her legs and removing her ankles with intent to kill her.
The wounded young girl was taken to the hospital by neighbours while bleeding profusely.
Onani pleaded guilty and requested for pardoning, when the court’s prosecutor read his charges before court.
“I admit charges, but am kindly requesting to be forgiven,” he pleaded.
Cases of attempted murder in Kisii town are on the rise, as only in the last week, a similar incident happened where a woman was arraigned for unlawfully dumping her child in a latrine.
