According to KNA, the suspect, Musa Mohamed aged between 22 and 25 pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before Garissa senior resident magistrate Timothy Ole Tanchu.
The accused is said to have committed the offence between September, 2016 and March this year at Lagbadhana, Mulanjo location of Tana River County.
The prosecution, led by Bonny Okemwa told the court that four witnesses will be lined up to testify.
The minor dropped school earlier this year at class 4.
The suspect was released on a bond of Sh200,000.
The hearing of the case will be on June 6.
