A middle aged man was today arraigned in a court in Nakuru to face charges of forgery and fraud. According to the prosecution desk, Ambrose Bosire, 34, was nabbed by Criminal Investigation police officers in Nakuru town while in possession of ten forged documents which he was intending to distribute to members of the public in a fake-certificates-scam. Principal Resident Magistrate Felix Kombo was told that on the evening of February 10 this year at section 58 area CID officers who had been investigating the accused for some time identified him to police officers from Nakuru Central Police station that arrested him. He was arrested in connection with a fake birth certificates syndicate that had been reported by the Ministry of Health and that of immigrations where some people were fraudulently acquiring money from members of the public by issuing them fake certificates. The accused, the court was told, led police officers to his house in Teachers estate where upon inspecting a computer machine; files of counterfeit documents were discovered. The accused however, denied the charges and was released on Sh 70,000 cash bond. The case will be heard on March 9.
