A middle aged man was on Monday arraigned in Kangundo Court following accusations of sexually assaulting an underage girl.

The accused, David Waema Mwendwa was on Monday brought before the Kangundo resident magistrate Derris Orimba.

However,  the accused denied the charges said to have committed on May 13, 2016 in Tala town. 

According to the victim, a 17-year-old girl, Waema touched her inappropriately and later forcefully abused her sexually. 

The accused denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh200,000 before the case is heard again. 

The case was adjourned to return to court in two weeks time to give the police more investigation time.
