A man of 35 years is in custody at Bondo police station after being suspected of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at Pala village in Nyamonye sub-location.
The suspect who is a water vendor in the area was arrested on her arrest by the police on the nightfall of Wednesday.
Confirming the incident, Boaz Odero the Maranda Division AP inspector stated that the suspect and the young girl have been living in the same house at Masita village.
The minor has been missing for some months.
The police finally did find the girl in the suspect's house after she went missing.
"The girl led us to Nyamonye market, where we found the suspect carrying on with his work," he said.
