A Marsabit Court has sentenced a man to serve two years in jail after he was found guilty of threatening another’s life.
Mr. Nura Bule was arraigned in court to answer to charges of threatening to kill Mr. Bule Huka Boru.
The prosecution told the court that the accused person committed the offence on March 4, this year in Marsabit town.
The prosecution further told the court that the accused person threatened to kill the complainant’s wife.
The accused person pleaded guilty to both charges before Marsabit Principal Magistrate Maura Ombewa and requested the court to accord him a lenient sentence.
Magistrate Ombewa in his ruling sentenced the accused to two years in prison saying the prosecution has proven its case.
Magistrate Ombewa, however, gave the accused person 14 days to appeal the court ruling.
