The accused Stephen Ochieng however, denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Catherine Owino for the offence allegedly committed in May 18.

The Court heard that, the accused way laid the victim while she was returning from school and dragged her into the bush where she defiled her.

The victim was left bleeding where she staggered to her home after which she was rushed to hospital by her parents.

After confirming that it was a defilement case, the matter was reported to the Police and the accused was arrested as the victim knew him because he was a common figure in their Kibos home area.

The Prosecution Desk asked the Court to remand the accused for one more week to facilitate the completion of investigation.

Magistrate Owino approved the application by the Prosecution Desk to the objection of accused Ochieng.

Ochieng argued that he did not defile the girl claiming that they have been in a relationship for the past one month.

He also told the Court that his health condition does not allow him to be in a confinement for long therefore he should be set free.

However, Magistrate Owino turned down the accused’s  request. The case will resume next week on Monday.
