A man in Ruiru is seeking justice and wants to have custody of his 3 children aged 8,6 and 4 from his ex-wife. She is allegedly a drunkard and is also very brutal when it comes to the children leaving them with permanent marks all over their bodies.
Simon Mwangi, the father, said that he was informed of the incident thanks to the neighbor who knew him and that he went ahead and reported the matter to the police. From the reports he got, he revealed that his children at times don't eat any meals, and if they do, the meals are not very healthy.
"I was very disappointed, my children are suffering and all I need is to have custody of them. My ex-wife is a drunkard and that is the reason we separated but I didn't know it would come to this," said the father.
According to the neighbor, Hellen Wanjiku, the woman is a drunkard and never caters for her children. She revealed that she has to take in the children to give them food since at times their mother fails to come home. She said that she took the initiative to inform the father of the 3 children so that he could rescue them.
"At times I wonder if she is indeed their biological mother, she beats the children mercilessly and even leaves marks all over their bodies. Most of the time we intervene when we hear she's beating the children," said the neighbor. The woman is currently in Police custody in Ruiru police station.
