A Nakuru court yesterday sentenced a rape suspect to 25 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to raping an 11 year old girl.
The court sentenced Robert Simuyu when he admitted to have raped the standard four school girl on February 5 at his home in Pangani estate in Nakuru County.
The young girl told the court that Simuyu had threatened to kill her if she reported the rape ordeal to any person.
The court also heard that the girl had just arrived home from school when her mother sent her to their neighbour Simuyu.
The court was also informed that when the girl took long time to arrive, the mother went to Simiyu's house and found him putting on his pants while the daughter was writhing in pain due to wounds in her private parts.
The mother then screamed and neighbours came and descended on Simiyu before the police rescued him.
After Simiyu pleaded guilty to the cahrges, magistrate Judicaster Nthuku sent him to spend 25 years in jail
