The Mombasa Law Court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment after being found guilty of robbery with violence.
Daniel Gachui Ndengwa, was charged with stealing a laptop worth Sh56,000, from Mr Eugene Aukahis.
The prosecution told the court that the accused committed the offence on the month of May in the year 2013, in Ganjoni area Mombasa County.
In his ruling, Mombasa Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti found the accused guilty of the charges, adding that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt.
“The evidence laid against the accused was substantial enough to prove that the accused participated in the crime,” Magistrate Ogoti, as quoted by Baraka FM.
He was given 14 days to appeal the ruling.
