Residents of Gilgil were left in rude shock after a body of a middle-aged man was found dumped a few kilometers from Kikopey town along the old Nakuru road.
Residents suspected that the man was killed elsewhere before he was dumped in the area.
James Mburu, an eye-witness, said the body was found by a group of herders who informed the police.
“The man had a rope around the neck with all indications that he had been strangled before the body was dumped here,” said Mburu.
Gilgil OCPD Sarah Koki confirmed the incident and said the man had no any documents to identify him.
The body was taken to the area mortuary as police probe investigations.
