A man was on Tuesday night killed by after being attacked by a buffalo in Magarini , Kilifi county.
His three brothers escaped narrowly following the incident.
Katana Ngalla, 22, was cutting trees in a forest in Chakama when the incident occurred at about 11am.
“Four brothers had gone to look for building poles in the forest. The three escaped narrowly," the deceased counsin is quoted by the Star.
Koi said they rushed to the forest after learning of the attack but found Ngalla lying in a pool of blood.
“KWS officers came but said police would pick the body and take over," he added.
Residents put a mosquito net over the body and guarded it the whole of Monday night, waiting for police to collect it.
The residents said that buffallo attacks have been common in the area.
