A man was killed on Saturday by a mob over money allegedly given out by popular musician Jaguar (Charles Kanyi).

According to the police, Jaguar was campaigning in Ziwani area in Nairobi on the material day, and gave out money to the youth who attended his rally.

Eye witnesses say the man who was later found dead had grabbed the money and ran away with it.

Nairobi County police boss Japheth Koome said they are investigating the unfortunate incident.

Musician Jaguar has declared interest in the Starehe MP seat and will compete against current MP Maina Kamanda, activist Boniface Mwangi and Steve Mbogo.
