A pedestrian was killed on the spot when a Toyota probox veered off the road at Ololulungà junction in Narok South sub-county on Sunday evening.
According to KNA, the vehicle's driver lost control and knocked the man who was walking on the road killing him on the spot.
Narok South OCPD Maalim Farah who confirmed the incident said the driver of the vehicle apparently left his lane and knocked down the deceased.
"The deceased was walking on the pavement of the road when he was killed instantly. We have mounted a search for the driver who escaped and the vehicle which he left behind as he fled has been towed to Ololulungà Police Station for inspection,” Maalim said.
The body was taken to Narok Referral Hospital mortuary pending postmortem and further investigations into the incident.
