A 35-year-old businessman killed his wife on boxing day before committing suicide.

The incident left residents of Kanthiari Kiego village, Igembe South in shock.

Area OCPD Jane Nyakeruma said the couple had marital problems.Police said they found the body of the woman in a poll of blood lying beside the man with foam oozing from his mouth.

It is suspected the man used a blunt object to kill the wife before taking poison.
