A middle-aged man was on Wednesday morning found sodomised, murdered and his half-naked body left at a thicket in Kap Tembwo village, Satiet Location in Bomet County.
Confirming the incident, the area sub-chief, Mr Marindany said the deceased who is alleged to have been spotted the previous evening drinking, was found in the morning with bruises on his neck and leaves stuffed on his mouth.
He also reported that a number of used condoms were found on the site.
“The village where the body was found is known for changaa-brewing. The deceased had bruises on his neck and the site was trampled; an indication that he fought with his assailants. Investigations are still going but it is likely that the man was sodomised before being killed as evidenced by the used condoms found on the scene. Leaves were also found stuffed on his mouth,” he said over the phone.
The chief also reported that on Monday evening, a 14-year-old girl was raped in the same village and investigations are still underway.
Police collected the body of the man.
