An elderly man in Getobe, Itumbe in Kisii County has lost his life in unclear circumstances.
The man is said to have come from an uncle’s burial in Nyamache, and started complaining immediately after eating.
The family then called for help and hired a car, rushing him to a Kisii hospital, where he died as he was attended to.
It was not clear what caused his death, with many speculating that he might have died from food poisoning.
Friends and family were concerned over what might have happened when the man attendee the burial, with many calling for investigations into the matter.
The man, who is a doctor by profession, was described as a humble man who had helped many of the locals with different ailing conditions. Plans are underway to lay the man to rest at his Itumbe home.
