A middle-aged man has been nabbed with bhang at Masii in Mwala, Machakos County.
The suspect was arrested after he was found in possession of 58 rolls and a cake of bhang weighing 4 kilograms during crackdown conducted by Masii chief Salome Mutisya with assistance from Kavumbu sub-chief Eunice Kitavi on Tuesday.
Confirming the incident, Mutisya said the man had been held at Masii Police Station awaiting to be arraigned in court today.
"The suspect has been locked up at Masii Police Station and will appear in court on Wednesday," Mutisya said.
She spoke to this writer in Masii.
Mutisya said she will continue with the fight against drugs which is a menace in the area.
Kitavi, on her part, hailed residents for the tip-off urging them to continue involving themselves in the fight against drugs.
"We can't win this war against drugs and substance abuse without your support. As we do our part to eliminate the culprits, may you also do yours? I am sure we will have positive results," Kitavi said.
This incident comes barely three days after a 66-year-old woman was apprehended with bhang in the area.
