A middle-aged man has gone into hiding after he allegedly assaulted his mother-in-law on Wednesday in Nyamache Kisii County.
It is alleged that the suspect identified as Mochama attacked his mother-in-law only identified as Kerubo accusing her of breaking up his marriage.
“The suspect attacked the mother-in-law on claims that the mother is responsible for the disappearance of her daughter from the man’s home. The woman sustained serious injuries on her left-hand shoulder, legs, and forehead,” said Theresa Orina, a witness.
A police officer attached to Nyamache administration police post-Jackson Tanui confirmed the incident and said the victim has already recorded a statement with police.
