[Photo/Standard.co.ke]A middle-aged man from Nyabigege Bosamaro Nyamira County has gone into hiding after he attacked and injured his father-in-law days after he separated with his wife.
Residents said the suspect who lived with his wife in a rented house at Maikaro area attacked his wife’s father on claims that he contributed to disagreement with his wife.
“The man who is a boda-boda rider plying Bondeni – Makairo – Magombo route beat his wife before he sent her back to her home but later went to the wife’s family house at night and carried all clothes belonging to his wife before he fled,” said Andrew Ongoro, a neighbor.
Ongoro said the man on Wednesday found the father-in-law at Nyachogochogo area where he attacked and injured him before residents came to his rescue.
Residents condemned the incident saying the man lacked respect and he could have involved area leaders to solve the differences with his father-in-law.
Boda Boda riders urged Nyamira county commissioner Isaiah Nakoru to order police officers to search for the man and arrest him because he has proved to be dangerous in society.
The riders said they won’t allow the suspect to operate in the area anymore.
