Police officers from Gucha Kisii County are pursuing for a man who attacked and injured his young brother on Sunday.
Residents described the suspect as a violent and an alcohol addict man who should be arrested and jailed.
A police officer who declined to be named said the suspect went into hiding after he attacked his brother with a panga at Nyaisero village after a quarrel.
"The victim aged 40 years reported the assault to us but the suspect fled when he realized we were looking for him. We have information that he went into hiding in Trans Mara and soon we will catch up with him,” said the officer.
He said suspect has been sending threatening messages that he will kill him, his wife and children.
“The suspect is a dangerous criminal who will not be allowed to live in society with others. We are using the threatening message he has been sending to the victim to trace him and bring him into book,” added the officer.
The officer urged members of the public to cooperate to ensure the suspect is arrested to be arraigned in court to face assault charges.
