A 35-year-old man has been arrested and is being held at the Subukia police station for allegedly sodomising his close friend in Simboywa village.
Area OCPD Alex Ng’ang’a says the suspect, Ben Ruto, had visited his friend Simon Kosgey Koech, 32, in his rental house where they took drinks together and went to sleep.
Ng’ang’a said while asleep, the suspect took advantage of his friend’s drunk status to indulge in the indecent act.
He said the suspect immediately escaped the scene leaving the victim oozing blood from his private parts.
Members of the public heard him cry for help in his rental house and took him to Subukia sub district hospital where he was treated and discharged.
The suspect is allegedly still at large.
Meanwhile, residents of Soito village in Kuresoi south in Nakuru County have called on the police to investigate the tragic death of a 61-year-old man who was killed by unknown assailants on Monday night.
They decried the rise of insecurity in the area which the relevant agents have been reluctant to address.
The deceased, Richard Osinde, was allegedly attacked by the unknown gangsters who confronted him in his house at wee hours of the night.
It is alleged that the gangsters knocked on the door of the deceased's house demanding to meet him and due to fear, he jumped outside through a window but unfortunately the gangsters caught up with him and killed him instantly.
Some of the residents noted that the killing might be as a result of unsolved land dispute reported to have faced the deceased family for a long period time.
