A middle-aged-man from Gesero area in Kisii County killed his six kids by poisning them.
Close relatives to the man identified as Chakobo said that the kids started complaining of stomachaches and by the time they were taken to hospital they had already passed on.
"The children started complaining of stomachaches and we decided to rush them to the hospital but unfortunately they were pronounced dead on arrival," Ms Agnes Moraa, a relative said.
Minutes later, the relatives started looking for the father of the kids only to find him lying in a pool of blood after he pierced himself with a knife.
"The man was unconscious and we opted to rush him to hospital and he is now at the Kisii leval six hospital," he said.
He said that they had already informed the police who had already kicked off with their investigations.
The bodies of the six kids were taken to the Kisii Level Six morgue.
