Police in Nakuru county have arrested a man who has been posing as a Kenya Power Company employee.

The man identified as Dancun Kimani was arrested after reports of illegal connections and distribution of electricity poles in Engoshura area.

Kimani was nabbed in possession of Kenya Power seals and copper wires at his home believed to be worth Sh500, 000.

However Kimani, who appeared before Chief Magistrate Bernard Mararo on Thursday afternoon pleaded not guilty to the charges against him claiming that he was framed.

The accused was later released on a bond of sh. 500,000 and surety of the same amount or an alternative cash bail of sh. 300,000 awaiting case to be mentioned later this month.
