A man in Eldoret was beaten by a close friend after he asked to use his longtime buddy's house as a lodging.
The man only identified as Tanui from Langas is said to have gone to a drinking joint at Langas shopping centers where he met a girl who after downing several drinks, he convinced to go with home.
Unfortunately, shortly before their departure at the entertainment join, Tanui, a married man received information of the return of his wife from the village to her house in Langas.
Tanui, who seemed to have to take a while before making love, according to witnesses, was determined to 'have his gift' of the day as the lady he met at the bar was willing to go a for a romp with him.
"He called a friend who he knew was a bachelor to ask if he could use his house," a witness Moses Kurgat said as he spoke to local reporters after the drama.
Kurgat said the friend was annoyed as he claimed Tanui was out to exploit his bachelor situation to soil his bed by sleeping with a girl in it.
"They met but when Tanui asked for the keys his friend punched him in the face and a fight erupted. Tanui got a beating of the day because he was drunk."
The girl, as the fight went on, to the entertainment of onlookers, vanished and could not be traced.
