A 35-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to sodomising a minor.
According to the suspect identified as Benson Omungala, 35, said he was framed.
He appeared before Nakuru principal magistrate Joe Omido.
State prosecutor Sandra Kosgey urged the court to deny him bond, because his life would be in danger, since he was beaten by a mob during his arrest.
He is accused of sodomising the boy on September 4 in Kanyoni, Nakuru East sub-county.
He also faced an alternative charge of indecently touching the boy.
According to the prosecution, he allegedly lured the boy into his room and forced him into the act.
The boy raised the alarm and was rescued by the public.
He will be remanded at the Nakuru Maximum prison untill the case is heard.
