A petitioner who filed a petition to challenge the August 8 victory of Kisii county women Rep Janet Ong'era now wants it withdrawn.

The petitioner Nahashon Akunga said he arrived at the decision after crucial witnesses who were to testify against Ong'era in the case left."Key witnesses who I had lined up to testify in the case have withdrawn and I have no option rather than withdrawing the case," he said.He said that he didn't know why the witnesses left but said they might have been threatened or bribed.
