His wife, Mary Moraa, has since left him in what she termed as disrespect by her husband.

“I can’t imagine that he could sell land to do such a thing,” said the estranged woman.

The man, unmoved by his actions, has been seen in village brewing dens buying liquor for his friends occasionally.

Residents have been shocked by his move to sell half of his 1.5 acre land, yet he has three sons.

“The newly married wife maybe a gold digger who is out to finish him,” his brother said.

The man in question has faulted his critics citing jealousy among his neighbours as they do not want to see him leading a comfortable life.

“What is the problem when I enjoy my wealth?” posed Morara.

Area chief, Mogaka Obwocha, condemned the incidence warning the residents from misusing their properties.

“It is so surprising that members of the public are selling their lands for comforts instead of using them for their betterment,” said Obwocha.
