A man in Borabu Sub County was last left in shock when he woke up to find one of his donkeys had been chopped off its hoofs.
The pain in the donkey’s eyes was evident and could be seen licking the wounds and the blood oozing out of the deep cuts.
The shocking incident left the man distressed, and could not understand why someone could be so cruel to his animals.
He could not understand why he only cut off one donkey, and what the intentions of the perpetrator were.
The owner’s wife was badly affected, and she narrated how the incident had left her shocked as the donkey was her source of livelihood.
This is not the first incident, with the family said to have suffered a similar case when one of their donkeys was almost killed by unknown people.
They said someone tried to strangle the donkey, which was discovered later on almost dying.
Residents are up in arms after the latest incident and have urged whoever is behind the heinous crimes to give the family a break.
