A widower has revealed what made him to spend time with his dead wife for six days. The Derby, UK based widower slept beside his wife’s copse for six nights after her passing on.

Mr Russell Davison confirmed that his wife went against odds to live three years against the 6 months projection by doctors. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in November, 2006.

When interviewed, the 50-year-old man said people should not be afraid to care for their deceased loved ones. He revealed that their sons helped him take care of his wife and give her an exceptional send off.

"I did not want her in the mortuary or handed over to a funeral director; I wanted us to take care of her ourselves at our family home, have her in our bedroom so I could sleep in the same room. Having Wendy's body here and being able to sit with her all day, have her friends and family come to sit with her, chat with her, chat about her and light candles and incense on her alter proved to be such a beautiful and comforting experience for me, the boys and all that are taking part,” he said as quoted by Tuko.
