A 25-year old man was on Sunday morning found by residents dead from knife stubs outside his house in Chaume village in Masinga Sub-County.
Confirming the unfortunate incident during a press address, Masinga Sub-County OCPD Joel Kiptum cited that the police are still doing investigation on the situations behind the death of the young man.
“I was alerted by the area residents who woke up to the horrific scene. The deceased sustained bad deep knife-stub injuries on the neck, ribs and stomach which led to over bleeding and his death,” said Kiptum.
However the police boss stated that the police cannot differentiate if the incident was murder or suicide.
“We are still investigating on the circumstances surrounding his death because there is a probability he was attacked and stubbed by other people and there is another probability he stubbed himself to death,” said Kiptum.
According to the residents the young man works in Nairobi and only comes during the weekends and last week he bought a posho mill to start a business in Chaume.
The body of the deceased was taken by police officers from Masinga police station to Thika Mortuary as investigation continues.
