A housewife in Kisumu Ndogo area is nursing injuries after her husband stabbed her with a kitchen knife in hand.
It is reported that the couple quarrelled due to unfaithfulness before the situation escalated.
One of the couples’ neighbours, Sara Akinyi, who was present at the victim's house at the time of the incident, recounted on how the husband came to his house at 8 pm and asked the wife where she had been during the day. As the mother of two tried to give an explanation, the husband picked a knife and stabbed her on the palm.
More reports indicate that the husband had been suspecting his wife of being involved in a romantic love affair with a local matatu driver. The man had also been going through his wife's phone in a bid to get tangible evidence but on Tuesday, it is said that a friend had tipped him off of her wife's whereabouts.
It could not, however, be established if the woman had an affair with the driver or it was mere allegations from the insecure man.
