The woman whose name police refused to reveal since her immediate relatives have not been notified was a part time student at Mount Kenya University Nakuru campus.

According to Njoro OCPD Kegode Kedivai, the woman has had quarrels with her husband.

“This is a family that has had quarrels and at one point they separated and efforts by their parents to re unite them were futile,” said the OCPD.

The suspect is a businessman at Nessuit trading centre while the wife resides in Teret Village a few kilometers away.

The OCPD said that the husband became angry after the wife sent him the photo of a white man on Whatsapp whom she claimed was her lover.

The husband went to Teret where he confronted the wife stabbing her with a penknife. She died on the spot.

The suspect surrendered himself to Njoro police station where he was locked up as investigations continue.

The woman’s body was taken to Nakuru County government mortuary.
