A middle aged man has gone into hiding after stealing two goats from a neighbor on Thursday in Borabu Sub County.
According to the owner of the goats, James Aragwa, the suspect untied the goats and drove them away from a grazing field.
“The goats were at a grazing field grazing when the thieve drove the away but a neighbor spotted him and alerted me immediately.
"I rushed to the grazing field only to find my goats are not there and raised alarm,” he said.
“The suspect identified as Mororo when he realized he was being pursued, abandoned the goats at a small bush in Getare sub location and fled,” he said.
Ronald Moenga, area Nyumba Kumi confirmed the incident and said the suspect is well known in the area.
“We all know the suspect who tried to steal the goats. He will be arrested and be taken to court to be charged over livestock theft,” said Moenga.
