A man was found dead in his home in Jeska Matungulu.
Speaking at the victim’s home, the assistant chief Joseph Chesire mentioned that the victim’s neck had severe bruising, and that such indications pointed towards murder.
“I was informed by the victims’ neighbour who had found the door open when he had come to visit the deceased. The neighbour found the victim dead on the ground,” Chesire said.
The assistant chief mentioned that the scene showed signs of a struggle, with bruising on the body. The family had been having land disagreements and Chesire mentioned that he had often had to come inbetween the deceased and his brothers to help cool down the situation.
The police officers are taking care of the situation, and the body has been taken to Kangundo Hospital Mortuary.
Mr.Chesire further cautioned against raising furore over land disputes, and that residents should instead present their issues to the police who would solve the cases legally.
“This is not the first incident, and I plead to you Matungulu residents to solve the land issues in court instead of killing one another.” Chesire said.
The police are still continuing investigations into the man’s death.
