A man committed suicide by jumping  from the 4th floor of a building in Buruburu, Nairobi.

According to sources, the man was trying to escape from police arrest when they raided the house to search stolen items.

He landed on his back and died on the spot.

Police said they recovered electric materials from the house worth millions of shillings. 

Police officers from Mlolongo area had been pursuing a case of theft and vandalism of Kenya Power cables when they were led to the house.
