Kithimani law courts has slapped a middle-aged man with a three year imprisonment without fine for breaking into someone's house with an intention to steal.

Appearing before magistrate Gilbert Shikwe, the accused Joshua Kasyoki pleaded not guilty to the charges. 

According to the prosecution, the accused broke into Felistus Ndunge's house who is the complainant in Kisaani area, Mumbuni location, Mwala sub-county in Machakos county planning to steal. 

The accused also faced alternative charges of injuring the complainant on the fateful day. 

The court ruled that for the first account the accused will serve two years in jail as for the second account he will serve one year in jail. 

The accused was also given fourteen days to appeal the magistrates decision.
