A man who boasted in his Facebook post of allegedly defiling a Class Four girl has been released on a Sh100,000 bond and a surety of a similar amount by a Sotik court.
The accused, Calvin Mbane Alfayo alias Mohammed Alfayo, was charged with promoting sexual offenses with a minor when he appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Bernard Omwansa on Tuesday.
According to the Daily Nation, Alfayo is accused of promoting sexual offenses with a child contrary to section 12 (a) of the Sexual offenses Act.
The charge against him stated that on October 3 at Chebilat trading centre in Bomet County, distributed photographs and articles, which promoted or were intended to promote sexual offences with a child.
Alfayo denied the charges and his case will now be mentioned on October 25 and heard on November 21.
