Residents of Maili 7 Bahati sub-county of Nakuru county are still coming to terms with an incident where a 95-years-old man has been living in a tree trunk for the last four years.
Njuguna Ng'ang'a, who hails from Limuru, was spotted over the weekend by a school boy who broke the news.
Speaking to the media over the weekend, the old man could not come out clear on why he left his home for a 'tree trunk'.
"I left my home in Limuru for many reasons which I can't even recall but here am safe and am just waiting for my death day,"said Njuguna.
He said he has four children and that his wife died long ago.
The man said he wakes up every day at 7am in the morning to beg at nearby centres such as Engashura and Maili Saba and returns to his 'home'.
He, however, hopes one day a Good Samaritan will come to his rescue.
