One man and his wife have been arrested today, March 19, 2016 in Kimangu area in Yatta sub-county for reportedly stealing a goat.
Confirming the incident Kambi ya Ndege sub-location sub-chief Francis Mutua said that the suspects had stolen the goat from Kabaa area in Mwala sub-county.
Mutua disclosed that with the help of chairman for community policing from Kithimani police station they were able to nab the suspects who were planning to sell the goat in Matuu today since it was a market day.
Mutua also said that the law will be harsh on people who are bent on reaping where they didn't sow.
"The suspects were planning to sell the goat in Matuu before we unravelled their plans and nabbed them," said Wambua.
The two suspects are held at Kithimani police station as they await to face charges of theft of stock in Kithimani law courts on Monday.
